GOOD QUESTIONS
Before your
first note.
Do I need a piano at home?
You’ll need a piano or keyboard for lessons and practice. If you’re choosing an instrument, tell us what you’re considering and we can discuss a suitable starting point.
Can children and adults learn online?
Yes, we welcome enquiries for children and adults. We’ll discuss whether online learning suits the student’s age and experience. A parent or carer should make the enquiry for anyone under 18 and help younger learners set up.
What if I’m a complete beginner?
You don’t need to read music or have previous experience. Your teacher can guide you through posture, finding your way around the keyboard, rhythm and your first pieces.
How much do lessons cost?
Contact us for current online lesson fees and available lesson lengths. We’ll confirm the price in British pounds (GBP), payment arrangements and terms before you book. Your payment provider may apply currency conversion charges.
Can you help with piano exams?
Tell us which syllabus and grade you’re working towards. We can discuss suitable preparation and tutor availability. Exam entry, local availability and any exam fees are arranged separately from your lessons.
Can I learn from another country?
We welcome enquiries from around the world. Please include your country and time zone so we can check a suitable teaching time. Ask us about any language requirements when you enquire.
